PLM Solution Architect

A Solution Architect leads implementation teams in analyzing requirements and contributes to the design of PTC Solutions intended to address complex customer requirements. This lead position is focused primarily on the technical aspects of an implementation, but provides input to the shaping of technical strategies within the client environment.  Additionally the Solution Architect is involved in defining and developing the strategic direction of service offerings and methodologies.

A Solution Architect is also responsible for assigning project tasks including installing and configuring PTC software, customization, GUI development, testing, debugging, data migration, and deployment support to project teams.  Develops, plans, and leads implementation efforts across all PTC product lines.  Ensures that quality software engineering processes and/or methodologies are followed.  Reviews teamwork work products to ensure that they are accurate, consistent, and meet client requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyzes requirements and contributes to the design of PTC Solutions to complex customer requirements
• Produces supporting and deliverable documentation as defined by the engagement
• Lead milestone validation events and obtain customer approval
• Identify new opportunities in existing accounts as gaps become evident during service delivery
• Participates in all phases of implementation projects
• Installs, configures, and customizes PTC software
• Supports production of written specifications (i.e. System Description Documents and Use Case Documents) to capture solution requirements for PTC solutions
• Demonstrates technical/customization skills, e.g. Info*Engine, Java, HTML, XML, SQL, and Windchill

• 4 – 5 years of demonstrable implementation experience with PLM Software such as Windchill, Team Center, Matrix One, Agile, and other industry leading PLM solutions
• 2 – 3 years of demonstrable experience leading and facilitating business requirements, solution definition and design, and application configuration, design, testing and implementation
• Bachelor’s Degree minimum, Master’s Degree preferred, either in computer science, MIS, or master’s in engineering
• Up to 75% travel required depending on project circumstances
