On behalf of
our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Plumber to work in Thika, Kenya

Job Summary:

As a Plumber, you will be responsible for
installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in the plant &
buildings. Your role will involve ensuring that plumbing systems operate
efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Installations:

·         Install and assemble piping systems,
fittings, and fixtures according to blueprints, specifications, and plumbing
codes.

·         Set up and install water supply lines,
drainage systems, and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and showers.

·         Ensure proper alignment, placement,
and support of pipes, valves, and fixtures

2. Repairs & Maintenance:

·         Diagnose plumbing issues and perform
necessary repairs or replacements.

·         Fix leaks, clogs, and other plumbing
problems promptly and efficiently.

·         Conduct routine maintenance to prevent
future issues and prolong the lifespan of plumbing systems.

·         Inspect plumbing systems, components,
and fixtures to identify and address potential problems

3. Safety & Compliance:

·         Adhere to safety protocols and
guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during masonry operations.

·         Use appropriate personal protective
equipment (PPE) and ensure the safety of self and others in the workshop.

·         Report any safety hazards or concerns
to the Workshop Supervisor or Safety Officer.

·         Report any incidents, accidents or
near misses to the authorities for appropriate action.

·         Adhere to all relevant plumbing codes,
regulations, and safety standards.

·         Ensure that all installations and
repairs meet quality standards and comply with building codes.

·         Use appropriate tools, equipment, and
safety gear to perform plumbing tasks safely.

·         Maintain a clean and organized work
area and dispose of waste materials properly

 4. Documentation and Reporting:

·         Generate accurate records of work
performed, including installation, repairs, and maintenance activities.

·         Report any issues, concerns, or
deviations from plans or specifications to appropriate personnel

 C) Key Outputs/Deliverables/KPIs

1. Installations:

·         Monitor the time taken to complete
plumbing tasks or projects. Efficient completion times demonstrate productivity
and effective time management skills.

·         Evaluate the quality of plumbing
workmanship through inspections, audits, or customer feedback. High-quality
work is essential for ensuring the longevity and reliability of plumbing
systems.

 2. Repairs & Maintenance:

·         Track the time it takes for the plumber
to respond to service requests or emergencies. Aim for prompt response times to
demonstrate reliability and responsiveness.

·         Measure the percentage of plumbing
issues resolved on the first visit without the need for follow-up appointments.

·         Zero Leakages of steam in plant,
compressed air and water

3. Safety & Compliance:

·         Ensure compliance with plumbing codes,
regulations, and industry standards in all plumbing work. Track any violations
or corrective actions needed to maintain compliance.

·         Ensure adherence to safety protocols
and regulations during plumbing tasks.

·         Number of accidents, incidents &
near misses

4. Documentation and Reporting:

·         Number & quality of reports
generated.

·         Frequency of reporting to the
supervisor
