Plumbing Project Manager - Construction

Description

We are looking for a skilled Plumbing Project Manager with experience in commercial construction to lead plumbing projects in the Brownsville, TX area. This role is responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle—from pre-construction planning to final closeout—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

• Manage and oversee multiple commercial plumbing projects, including retail centers, office buildings, schools, medical facilities, and multi-use developments.
• Develop project schedules, track progress, and coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with Texas plumbing codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
• Procure materials, manage vendors, and control job site inventory and logistics.
• Prepare and track change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
• Monitor budgets and prepare regular cost reports for leadership.
• Conduct regular job site visits to ensure quality workmanship and safety protocols are followed.
• Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and crews to resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and design teams.
   

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, with at least 2 years managing commercial construction projects.
• Texas Journeyman or Master Plumbing License preferred.
• Solid knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, including hydronic piping, gas lines, waste/vent, water supply, and fixtures. 
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schematics.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Mix of office and field-based work, with frequent travel to job sites in the Brownsville and South Texas region.
• Must be able to work in varying weather and site conditions.
• Occasional evening or weekend work based on project demands.
