Job Description - Podiatrist - AFCC Podiatry Full Time

You’ll get to: 



  • Provide medical and surgical care for foot and ankle conditions

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage lower‑extremity disorders

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external facilities

  • Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive foot care

  • Support high‑quality documentation and clinical workflows


 


Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: 



  • Comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements

  • Performs medical history and physical examinations

  • Assesses foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions and develops treatment plans

  • Diagnoses and treats disorders, diseases, and injuries of the lower extremity

  • Manages complex diabetic foot infections using evidence‑based protocols

  • Provides medical and surgical care for soft tissue and bony pathology

  • Orders and prescribes treatment including physical medicine and therapy

  • Educates patients on treatments and preventive foot care techniques

  • Collaborating with other medical disciplines

  • Provides care in external facilities such as hospitals, wound care centers, and nursing homes

  • Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Work Experience:  



  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM)

  • Current State of Ohio DPM license

  • Experience providing podiatric medical and surgical care preferred

  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external facilities preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Demands: The work environment is well-lit, well-ventilated, and designed for comfort and efficiency. This position requires sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, or reaching. The ideal candidate must be able to view computer screens for long durations and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office setting. For patient care–related roles, the position may also require standing for long periods and the ability to lift or assist patients, medical equipment, or supplies — generally up to 25–50 pounds, as needed to support safe and effective care.
