Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and strategic plans to ensure effective law enforcement and public safety.
• Lead and manage police personnel, promoting professional development, training, and accountability.
• Engage with community members and stakeholders to build trust and strengthen community-police relations.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards pertaining to law enforcement.
• Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies on public safety initiatives and emergency response planning.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and equipment to optimize operational effectiveness.
• Serve as the chief spokesperson for the department, representing it at public forums and community meetings.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive law enforcement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of law enforcement best practices, community policing models, and public safety issues.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Significant experience with budget management and resource allocation.
• Strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in law enforcement.
