Position Assignment\: 12 Months / 8 Hours

NOTE: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation. These positions are located in Henderson.

 

Position Requirements Education, Training, and Experience 1. High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development [GED], foreign equivalency, etc.). 2. One (1) year of general office experience directly involved in performing customer service or public contact duties; or, At least 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice or a closely related field; or, Emergency Telecommunicator Certification (ETC) issued by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (ISED). 3. Successful completion of the CritiCall test, a software assessment utilized to measure essential, job-related skills, including but not limited to\: decision making, data entry, call summarization, oral comprehension, memory recall, prioritization, map/geography comprehension, and language proficiency. CritiCall is a pass/fail assessment administered by the Police Department during the hiring process.  4. Must successfully complete the CCSD School Police Services 19-week course in Communications Training within six (6) months of hire into position. 

Licenses and Certifications 1. Must complete CJIS training session and obtain CJIS certification within six (6) months of hire into position. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. 2. Must complete the Nevada POST Dispatcher Basic Training and obtain certification within one (1) year of hire into position. 3. Applicant/employee must provide their own transportation. 

NOTE\: Applicants/employees are subject to all aspects of mandatory drug/alcohol testing as outlined in Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 613.132.

College transcript(s) from an accredited college or university, if applicable. 5 3. Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy position requirements.
