As a Police Officer with our department, you will protect life and property, maintain order, investigate incidents, deter criminal activity, and provide safety education, all while building the collaborative partnerships that make a university community thrive. This role directly supports UW-Green Bay's strategic commitment to student success by ensuring every person on our campus feels safe, valued, and supported.

UW-Green Bay Police Department
Minimum compensation of $28.00 per hour.
This position will earn an additional $0.80 per hour for all weekend hours worked, as well as for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
This position is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

A criminal conviction investigation, medical exam, psychological exam, vision screening, physical agility assessment and pre-employment drug screening will be conducted on the finalist(s). In addition, if the final selected candidate has prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct will be completed. A twelve-month probationary period is required for this position. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

In addition, eligible employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually and paid parental leave. All final candidates must be asked, prior to hire, whether they have been found to have engaged in, are currently under investigation for, or left employment during an active investigation in which they were accused of employee misconduct, sexual violence or sexual harassment. When obtaining employment reference checks, these same misconduct, sexual violence or sexual harassment questions must also be asked.
