Recruitment Description:

This posting is for applicants who have tested through Public Safety Testing between 04/20/25 and 06/08/25 AND have received an email invite from the City of Ellensburg to complete our employment application form.  Applications must be completed and submitted by midnight on JUNE 24, 2025.  If your application is not received by midnight on JUNE 24, 2025, you will not be able to proceed in this recruitment process.

If you have not tested through PST, have not listed Ellensburg as an agency to receive your scores, and have not received an invite to complete our application, please do not apply, your application will not be processed.

2025 Wages:

$6,161/month – Probationary

$6,597/month – Third Class

$6,975/month – Second Class

$8,024/month – First Class

In addition, there is incentive pay for physical fitness determined by an annual fitness assessment.  There is also an education incentive, longevity incentive, and specialty pay for certain positions (i.e., school resource officer, detective, anti-crime, reserve coordinator, field training officer.)
