Police Officer - Sioux Falls, SD - May-2027!!

We are looking for the next generation of law enforcement professionals to begin with the Sioux Falls Police Department beginning May 17th, 2027 as part of our next new recruit class!!

Please note that we offer one of the MOST candidate centric hiring processes out there.

No "10-appointments w/ 10+ dates in SF, and maybe get hired after 8-12 months of testing...". DAY 1 WAGE (2027): $35.67 hourly ($74,193.60 annual)

SIGN ON BONUS: $5,000.00

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $2.00 per hour

BILINGUAL PAY: $1,755.00 annually, $33.75 weekly -see minimum qualifications

4. Paid Training Experience - We will serve you with nine months of training with our subject matter experts within the training division!! You will work through eight total weeks of in-service training, 13 weeks at the LET state academy, and 15 weeks on the street, with our PTOs.

6. Work/Life Balance - An annual shift-bid enables sworn personnel to set weekly work dates and hours for each calendar year, in addition to generous vacation time, sick leave, and personal days. Most schedules are four (4) 10-hour shifts consecutive, with 3 days off week-to-week.

The 13-week SD LET academy, for the May 17th, 2027 recruit class will take place in Sioux Falls, SD, at the Public Safety Campus, beginning in June-2027!!
