How You'll Contribute
As a Policy Administration and Reconciliation Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of policy administration and financial reconciliation processes for our life and annuity business. You'll work closely with Policy Administration, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Customer Service, and other business partners to reconcile financial activity, resolve complex issues, support audits, and improve operational processes.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, improving processes, and working collaboratively to deliver accurate financial results and an exceptional customer experience.
What You'll Do
Monitor and reconcile policy administration, premium, distribution, and suspense account activity.
Research and resolve discrepancies between policy administration systems and the general ledger.
Review policy transactions, premium history, audit records, and supporting documentation to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain tracking reports and reconciliation documentation to support operational accuracy.
Review and approve payment-related activity, including checks and ACH processing, in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor daily financial reporting feeds and partner with Financial Reporting to ensure data accuracy.
Assist with monthly reconciliations, management reporting, and financial analysis.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and serving as a liaison with business partners.
Review life insurance and annuity claims involving confidential financial, medical, and legal documentation.
Identify opportunities to automate or improve existing processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and provide timely issue resolution.
Collaborate across departments to support team objectives and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
What You'll Bring
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in financial reconciliation, accounting, insurance operations, or a related analytical role.
Experience reviewing and reconciling financial transactions and reporting data.
Knowledge of insurance administration accounting and financial reporting preferred.
Life insurance and annuity industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to interpret financial information, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate multiple business systems.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer service.
Adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary office work with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
Occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively and perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
