Policy Analyst

Provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the Fogarty International Center. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.

• Work products and documents related to developing new concepts and initiatives; conduct research; plan and implement activities; develop dissemination plans; develop FIC-sponsored programs and initiatives. - Ad-Hoc


• Work products and documents related to designing and conducting program evaluation studies; analyze research activities; analyze programmatic and portfolio data; plan, organize and participate in meetings and consultations. - Ad-Hoc


• Work products and documents related to preparing background materials and context on policy and program issues; prepare, write and edit technical proposals and papers related to global health; work with staff to respond to requests; draft documents. - Ad-Hoc

  Develop new concepts and initiatives; conduct research; participate in planning and implementation of trans-NIH/multi-agency/multisector activities related to the Center for Global Health Studies (CGHS). - 1

  Plan, organize and participate in technical meetings and consultations that convene diverse groups to discuss key issues in global health research, identify research gaps and priorities, and articulate research agendas around particular global health research topics. - 3
  
  


• Prepare background materials and provide context on a range of policy and program issues, for use by senior FIC leadership in discussions with senior government and non-government officials.

• Work with Director of Division of International Science Policy, Planning and Evaluation to respond to Congressional requests; draft documents related to the Congressional appropriations process.


• Participate in the development of FIC-supported programs and initiatives.

  Work with FIC Evaluation Officer and staff to design and conduct program evaluation studies, the analysis of research activities, and the analysis of programmatic and portfolio data to support FIC’s program assessments.

Certifications & Licenses

• Master’s degree in global health-related field


• Three years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree


• Master's or Bachelor's with equivalent experience
