Pool Maintenance Technician (Entry-Level)
Location: Louisville, KY area Pay: $22.50 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday availability may be required during peak season)
About the Role We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Pool Maintenance Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to start a hands-on career in pool service, equipment repair, and light HVAC-related work. No prior pool experience is required—we will provide training for the right candidates who are eager to learn, reliable, and take pride in their work.
What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine weekly pool maintenance (skimming, brushing, vacuuming, backwashing, chemical testing & balancing)
  • Inspect and clean pool filters, pumps, heaters, chlorinators, and other equipment
  • Diagnose and perform basic repairs on pool systems and components
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance on pool heaters (gas & electric) and HVAC-related equipment
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs (PVC gluing, valve replacement, leak detection)
  • Install basic pool equipment and accessories when needed
  • Keep accurate records of service visits, chemical usage, and completed work
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment and appearance at customer properties
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with customers about the condition of their pool and any recommended services
What We’re Looking For
  • Willingness to learn – no previous pool experience required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
  • Some knowledge of (or strong willingness to learn) HVAC systems, especially pool heaters
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work in tight spaces when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently after training
  • Comfortable working with chemicals (proper training and PPE provided)
Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)
  • Any previous experience with pools, spas, plumbing, HVAC, or general maintenance
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification (we will help you obtain if desired)
