Pool Operations

Overview:

The Pool Operations position is a part-time seasonal position located at the Civic Center Aquatic Park, 5 Ashlawn Ave., Montgomery, IL 60538 and Winrock Pool, 21 Winrock Rd., Montgomery, IL. Pool Operations staff report to the Aquatics Supervisor. Pool Operations staff are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patrons and staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Significant involvement in communication with, but not limited to staff, patrons, and park district management


• Considerable involvement in record keeping


• Significant involvement in maintaining the pool, pool equipment, filtration system, and facility


• Some involvement in maintaining splash pad


• Work with staff to meet department goals and objectives


• Maintain neat and orderly work environment with emphasis on safety and security precautions


• Other duties as assigned
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older


• Work independently and as a team leader of the aquatic and recreation staff


• Ability to cooperate with staff, students, volunteers, school district, and other park district employees, and the general public


• Physically able to do manual labor


• Effective communication skills, verbal and written


• Decision-making and organizational skills


• Ability to operate office machinery and computers


• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the District

Hours:

Mornings. Occasional afternoon and evening hours available. May through August.

Salary Range:
$15-$17/hour
