POSITION TITLE: POOL STORE RETAIL ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position reports directly to the Store Manager and is responsible for the daily operations and sales of the pool store. The individual must have experience working for other pool retail companies. The job includes responsibility for the operation of the store specially in sales and customer service. Must maintain an excellent attendance record. Must work on weekends and some holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in pool product retail sales and customer service. Knowledge of pool cleaning, pool equipment as well as installations & repairs. Knowledge of pool fundamentals, chemicals, products and related supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

Responsible for daily operations of a retail store specializing in the sale of pool & spa products, pool equipment and pool services

· Develops and maintains strong customer relations and customer service.

· Performs the following duties:

a) Opens and closes the store, maintains accurate daily records of all sales and closes out the register at the end of each day.

b) Sells chemicals, products and services, helps customers in solving pool problems

c) Repairs automatic pool cleaners

d) Ensures that all merchandise is clean, priced, and that shelves are properly stocked and displays & fixtures are set up.

· Responsible for the following areas:

a) Water testing

b) Cash register operation

c) Cash & Sales reports

d) Make repair and installation quotes.

e) Manages Store’s Product Returns

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Must be a minimum 21 years of age, have a high degree of stamina for physical labor and must be able to lift 70 pounds repetitively. Must have the ability to work around chlorine without an allergic reaction.
