Pool Technician - Environmental Swabbing

Essential Functions

• Perform routine and non-routine environmental swabbing of food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces in accordance with the environmental monitoring program.


• Independently collect samples throughout the facility following established sampling plans, schedules, and aseptic techniques.


• Properly label, document, and submit samples to internal or third-party laboratories.


• Maintain accurate and complete records of environmental monitoring activities in accordance with GMPs and company procedures.


• Identify and report out-of-specification or unusual findings to Quality leadership.


• Support root cause investigations by performing follow-up or intensified environmental sampling as directed.


• Adhere to all food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety policies while moving throughout production and non-production areas.


• Maintain required training and demonstrate working knowledge of environmental monitoring principles.


• Participate in audits and inspections by providing environmental monitoring records and explanations of procedures when requested.


• Follows all GMP’s and Safety Procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years related work experience


• Ability to use quality control analysis equipment


• Fluency in spoken & written English


• Mathematical Skills


• Computer Skills & Data Processing skills Required


• Basic understanding of GMPs, sanitation, and food safety principles.


• Ability to follow written sampling protocols and maintain accurate documentation.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Ability to move throughout production, warehouse, and facility environments.


• Ability to climb ladders to work platforms


• Able to lift 50 pounds
