Description

An Automotive Porter is responsible for maintaining the dealership's inventory, ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for display, and supporting the sales and service teams as needed. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move vehicles to designated areas within the dealership and ensure they are organized and easy to access for sales and service teams.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles, including washing, waxing, and detailing.
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify and report any damage or issues to the sales or service teams.
• Assist with customer deliveries, ensuring the vehicle is properly fueled and ready for the customer to take possession.
• Support the service team with shuttling customers, delivering parts, and assisting with general maintenance and cleaning of the service department.
• Support the sales team with organizing and maintaining the showroom and lot, setting up for events, and handling customer inquiries as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the lot, showroom, and service department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and report vehicle damage or issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements: This job may require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time. It may also require occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions: This job requires working in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. It may also require working weekends or evenings, depending on the needs of the dealership.
