The Restaurant Porter is responsible for supporting the kitchen and front-of-house

prep tasks. The Porter ensures a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to
food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and Sanitation:
• Ensure all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors are clean and sanitized
at all times.
• Collect and remove trash and recyclables from kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean restrooms, staff areas, and other common spaces as needed.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing areas, including loading and unloading
the dishwasher.
• Stocking and Inventory:
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper goods, and other consumables in the
kitchen and front-of-house.
• Assist with deliveries by unpacking, organizing, and storing food and non-
food items properly.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages to
management.
• Basic Food Prep Assistance:
• Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks as needed, such as peeling,
chopping, or washing produce.
• Transport food and supplies between storage areas and the kitchen.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure that kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained regularly.
• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to management
immediately.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.
Requirements:
