About the Role

Join our dynamic team at a thriving student housing community in Ithaca. As a Porter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in your work, we want you!

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas: lobbies, hallways, lounges, laundry rooms, outdoor spaces


• Empty trash and recycling receptacles, transport bulky items to disposal areas


• Assist with snow removal (seasonal), and landscaping support as needed


• Replenish supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap) in restrooms and shared facilities


• Report maintenance issues or hazards to the maintenance team promptly


• Set up common areas for resident events or meetings


• Assist with move-in/move-out turnovers by prepping entryways and corridors

Who You Are

• 1+ year of experience in custodial, facilities, or similar roles (hospitality, janitorial, property)


• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness


• Dependable, punctual, and professional in interactions


• Comfortable operating cleaning equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs


• Flexible availability—including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed


• Team player with a positive, resident-focused attitude
