Small Business Lending, LLC. is looking to add a Portfolio Manager to its team.

The Portfolio Manager will use business expertise and industry knowledge to evaluate risk and make credit and risk rating recommendations based on extensive due diligence of cash flow, collateral, borrower, sponsors and market expertise. The Portfolio Manager will review existing transactions independently to assess financial performance, compare actual to projected performance, calculate debt service coverage and identify early warning signs. The Portfolio Manager will actively monitor a portfolio of existing C&I loans, CRE loans and SBA 7a loans by addressing loan extensions/modifications, collection of financial data, and preparing annual reviews.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned as needed)

• Prepares and presents thorough credit reviews summarizing transaction fundamentals, credit analysis, and due diligence for existing C&I, CRE and SBA 7a loan transactions. Makes recommendations on transaction risk ratings to reflect identified risks.


• Responsible for following up on current financial information, monitoring of ongoing financial performance and risk ratings, and completion of annual reviews for assigned portfolio by designated deadlines.


• Develops working knowledge of existing customers to monitor ongoing customer performance and ability to pay. Makes appropriate recommendations to reduce risk for past due accounts, matured loans or others exhibiting potential credit weakness.


• Maintain high quality business by actively managing risk and identifying business opportunities through strong credit analysis and active portfolio management.


• Works closely with other internal departments to resolve credit related issues during the life of the loan.


• Addresses loan modification and extension requests.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of five (5) years of credit analysis experience (Knowledge of SBA 7a loan products preferred)


• Demonstrated ability to accurately assess corporate creditworthiness and risks, and create a detailed and thorough annual review.


• Effective risk management, analytical and communications skills


• Strong attention to detail.


• Ability to plan, multi-task, manage time effectively, and work independently with limited direction

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree (or equivalent experience preferred)

Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
