Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income)

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors LLC has an opening for a Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income) in New York, New York and Miami, Florida.

The position duties are as follows:  Be responsible for managing a portfolio of fixed income positions within the Firm’s risk management framework that is capable of generating positive uncorrelated returns in all market environments. Daily duties include:

• Act as the specialist in fixed income relative value strategies focused at the front-end of the US yield curve.


• Responsible for designing and running an investment strategy with a Sharpe ratio greater than 1.


• Direct highly quantitative and back-tested strategy, ensuring strategy is robust and scalable.


• Communicate strategy positioning, decision making, and performance with key internal stakeholders.


• Operate strategy within the risk framework provided by the Firm.


• Develop and manage relationships with sell-side traders, salespeople, and relationship managers.


• Build an investment team over time in conjunction with the specific portfolio needs under the Firms risk management framework.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 3 years of progressively responsible experience as a Research Analyst, Trader/Associate Portfolio Manager, or equivalent role within the financial services industry. Experience must include:

1. 2 years of experience with risk management skills within the US government treasury market and other government bond markets, and global front-end interest rate products.


2. 2 years of experience with portfolio construction of complex products, including US government treasuries and other government bond markets, and global front-end interest rate products.


3. 2 years of experience with modeling risk and portfolio management systems, such as Coremont.


4. 2 years of experience generating risk-adjusted returns on allocated capital set by the company.


5. 3 years of experience developing and presenting actionable investment ideas based on analysis of fixed income datasets.

Part time telecommuting permitted.

Wage Range: $200,000 - $250,000/year
