DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Corporate Development Integration (CDI) team supports mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for the company. We are seeking a Portfolio Success Analyst to join our Portfolio Success team. The mission of the CDI team is to lead Amazon and acquired teams through the definition and enablement of the acquisition rationale and acquired business growth. CDI Portfolio Success is a team dedicated to enabling measurement, communication, and enablers to support achievement of deal goals for acquired businesses.

The Portfolio Success Analyst will possess demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses that drive executive-level insights. The Analyst will support the measurement and reporting for the progress of Amazon’s acquisitions that span all of Amazon globally. The Analyst will have a track record of synthesizing data into intelligence and insights working across a diverse group of stakeholders and data sources, including internal business leaders, Finance, HR, and external sources. The Analyst will also partner across stakeholders to define, develop, and test data requirements, inputs, and outputs to power a set of dashboards to measure integration success and provide guidance for various M&A activities post transaction. This is a high-visibility and high business impact role that will deliver intelligence and reporting that will be directly utilized for SVPs and board-level updates.

Key job responsibilities
Ideal candidates will have strong business acumen that can derive insights in myriad businesses, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to influence and collaborate with technology, functional, and business stakeholders. They will have passion for data and analytics, be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and driven by a desire to help Amazon make the right decisions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and launch new metrics, improve inspection points for existing metrics, and identify correlations and root causes.
- Define, develop, and test data requirements, inputs and outputs to launch a set of dashboards.
- Conduct statistical and trend analysis to identify opportunities, highlight strengths, and provide recommended corrective actions.
- Perform regular audits and improvements to analyses and deliverables to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
- Support ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities.
- Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.
- Communicate – both verbally and in narrative writing – complex analyses and insights for senior audiences.
- Collaborate with partner teams to develop a roadmap and influence the development of other teams’ roadmaps.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
