A position as Postdoctoral Researcher is available in the Ultrafast AMO Theory group at Louisiana State University. The candidate selected will participate in theoretical studies of ultrafast dynamics in quantum systems, with charge migration in organic molecules being of particular interest. The position will be supervised by Profs. Mette Gaarde and Francois Mauger at LSU. Candidates with a background in theoretical physics with an emphasis on ultrafast science, time-dependent quantum dynamics, or large-scale computation will have first consideration.

Responsibilities:

(90%) The postdoctoral candidate is expected to participate in ongoing research on theoretical studies of ultrafast charge migration in quantum system, which include studies of the initiation, coherence, and probing of the charge migration dynamics. (10%) Additional duties include assisting in the supervision of graduate and undergraduate thesis work in the Ultrafast AMO Theory group at LSU. The researcher is expected to regularly publish papers in the refereed literature, and to attend at least one professional meeting each year to present results of this research.
Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in physics or a related field.
Desired Qualifications:

Candidates with a background in ultrafast and/or strong-field AMO theory, time-dependent quantum dynamics, or large-scale computation will have first consideration.
