SERVER / "Potions Master"

The Cauldron is seeking experienced servers ( a background in performance is a plus) for a fantasy-inspired cocktail making experience

The position is for a Potion Master, who functions as a server guiding guests through a "potions class" where they will create "potions" (Cocktails or spirit free mocktails) . Using Improvisation and theatrical presentation, we seek to make our guests feel like real wizards as they make beautiful and delicious cocktails with the assistance of their potion master.

This role consists of maintaining a presence on the floor, looking after customers, selling food & drinks to enhance their experience, delivering food & drinks, creating & maintaining a welcoming character to aid in the immersive environment, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

The Cauldron is a wizard-themed bar, restaurant, and immersive experience in Wicker Park that brings magic and fantasy to life with science, technology, and design.

This venue is part of The Cauldron Co., the UK based entertainment company that brings fantasy to life with technology and science.

This is a tipped position, and tips are pooled on a daily basis - paid out on weekly paychecks.

Requirements

An Ideal Candidate would meet the following requirements:

• Two Years experience as a server
• Upscale Casual/Fine Dining preferred 
• Beverage knowledge with an emphasis on cocktails, cocktail bartending experience is a plus
• Live performance experience helpful but not necessary
• Familiarity and interest in fantasy, including but not limited to Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Stormlight Archive, etc
• open availability to include weekends

• ability to work under pressure and within time limits
• Serv Safe & BASSET certifications for the State of Illinois
