As part of Qualcomm\u2019s Power \u0026 Thermal/Limits System Software team in San Diego, you will collaborate with a world-class cross-functional organization to advance cutting-edge ARM-based server technologies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Analyze complex system-level use cases for data-center server platforms.\n\n\u00b7 Optimize power and performance technologies, including DVFS and power-limiting mechanisms, for next-generation ARM platforms.\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate across teams to achieve best-in-class product-level KPIs for power and performance.\n\n\u00b7 Drive enhancements in system architecture and software for ARM-based platforms.\n\n\u00b7 Influence software feature requirements to meet power and performance goals.\n\n\u00b7 Develop algorithms and techniques to reduce power consumption and improve performance.\n\n\u00b7 Perform system-level optimizations using hardware and software-based power, thermal, and limits-management techniques.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n\u00b7 Master\u2019s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\n\u00b7 Expertise in power and performance management techniques.\n\n\u00b7 Hands-on experience with power, performance and thermal measurement methodologies and optimization on server-class products.\n\n\u00b7 Strong familiarity with ARM architecture and programming in C, C++, and Python.\n\n\u00b7 Solid understanding of SoC and computer-system architecture.\n\n\u00b7 Experience with board and SoC bring-up, device drivers, and common peripheral buses.\n\n\u00b7 Strong background in Linux, real-time operating systems, and multithreaded architecture.\n\n\u00b7 Strong debugging skills and experience with ARM-based systems.\n\n\u00b7 Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Apply deep expertise in power, performance and thermal domain to achieve critical engineering goals.\n\n\u00b7 Lead the ideation, prototyping, and development of key power, performance, and thermal features, ensuring product KPIs are met or exceeded.\n\n\u00b7 Serve as a domain expert in power, performance, and thermal technologies.\n\n\u00b7 Identify and address system and software inefficiencies from a power-performance perspective.\n\n\u00b7 Analyze user needs and constraints to design optimized software solutions.\n\n\u00b7 Design and implement software subsystems for complex, large-scale products.\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams to ensure cohesive system design.\n\n\u00b7 Produce and review detailed technical documentation for advanced software projects.\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
