Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in producing quality work? Carolina Industrial Products (CIP) is looking for a motivated Power Recovery Center (PRC) Technician to join our growing team.
In this role, you will refurbish and rebuild industrial forklift batteries in a fast-paced, production-based environment. These batteries support our sales department as certified used equipment. Every battery rebuilt in our Power Recovery Center is backed by a warranty, making quality workmanship and attention to detail essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate industrial forklift batteries to determine whether they can be refurbished or should be recycled
- Refurbish and rebuild batteries according to established quality standards and procedures
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and production efficiency
- Complete assigned work within established timelines
- Document all inspections and repairs using internal system (training provided)
- Communicate battery status and production updates with the PRC Production Manager
- Receive, unload, and stage batteries and materials using forklifts (forklift training provided)
- Prepare scrap batteries for shipment, including banding, staging, and loading trucks
- Prepare battery cells, rental batteries, and refurbished batteries for customer shipment
- Monitor shop inventory and communicate material or parts needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment
- Support the continued growth and success of the Power Recovery Center
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Forklift experience is a plus, but training will be provided
- Industrial, automotive, electrical, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required
Schedule
- Full-time – 7:30-4:30 M-F
- 40 hours per week - Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs, production demands, or customer requirements.
