In this position...
Ford's Propulsion Software and Diagnostics team is looking for a Controls Supervisor to lead our Gasoline Air, Torque, Starting, and Accessories Software Controls team. You'll manage a high-performing group of engineers who deliver embedded controls software for engine start/stop, torque management, low-voltage/battery systems, and regulatory compliance (EU7, FMVSS) across platforms spanning our full vehicle portfolio. This role combines technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on ownership of software quality, delivery pace, and modernization — with the opportunity to directly shape how Ford meets emissions regulations and safety standards while driving engineering excellence at scale.
As a PTEC Controls Supervisor on the Propulsion Software and Diagnostics team, you'll lead a team of engineers responsible for the software controls that keep Ford's engines running safely, cleanly, and reliably — from the moment a vehicle starts to how it manages torque, air intake, low-voltage power, and regulatory compliance across our global gas and diesel lineup. This is a role for a technical leader who thrives on high delivery volume, deep cross-functional partnership, and driving modernization without ever losing sight of quality.
