Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Processor to join our Curtis PPE team in Kent, Washington. This role is focused on processing, inspecting, and laundering PPE for first responders, as well as data entry, shipping, receiving and coordinating production scheduling to achieve best in class customer service. 

The position you are applying for requires standing for long periods of time, often 8hrs at a time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Data entry related to element information, order entry, repair estimates, as well as customer information, and shipping details.
• Learn NFPA 1851 and/or other industry standards and how they relate to our processes and procedures.
• Strong ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Effective problem-solving ability.
• Comfort and ability to work with little supervision.
• Be an effective and patient trainer.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Operate hardware, tools, cleaning, and testing equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and perform accurate data entry.
• Sort, organize, inspect and launder personal protective ensemble elements.
• Participates in material inventory counts.
• Assist with facility cleaning. 
• Operate company vehicles to perform pickup and delivery functions.
• Provide support to the sewing department as necessary.
• Interact with our customers to ensure service expectations and compliance to NFPA1851 is clearly understood.
• Coordinate with the branch manager to maintain timely intake and laundry schedules.
• Assist the branch manager to resolve questions and ensure a high level of customer service.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

Must Have Skills

• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) in a data entry capacity.
• Capable of lifting and handling elements that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, type, write and comprehend English.

Must Have Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team oriented and respectful.

Nice to Have

• Experience with shipping and receiving.
• Knowledge or familiarity with industrial laundry.
• Exposure to an industrial sewing environment.
