Pay rate: $40.58-$75.52


Shift: Monday through Friday

At Uptown Community Health Center we improve the health of our community and provide care that respects the dignity of each person, especially those that are underserved. We teach tomorrow's physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellent medical care with compassion and kindness.


As a part of Uptown Community Health Center, Seton Women's Center and Uptown Midwifery Center see patients of all backgrounds for Obstetrics and Gynecological care. Seton Women's Center is the main clinic for a Residency program having over 25 different Providers who rotate through our clinic.


The Practice Administrator works collaboratively with lead site providers to ensure the departments' efficient and effective daily operation. Oversees various projects and initiatives, all practice operations, budgets, and workflows within the medical practice to ensure Uptown Community Health Center policies and procedures are in effect. Supervise all clinic staff, including annual competencies, proficiencies, and evaluations. The Practice Administrator must support all Human Resources guidelines by example, coach and mentoring staff. This includes being a role model of Uptown Community Health Center Service Behaviors and Patient-Centered Medical Home philosophy to ensure these concepts are consistently followed and displayed by the staff.



  • Supervise daily operations for the department.

  • Manages multiple areas of diverse responsibilities, special projects, and/or initiatives.

  • Manages schedules in EPIC for all Providers.

  • Complete the annual budget and adhere to budget guidelines.

  • Responsible for the department staying within required regulations for OSHA, Joint Commission, EOE, HRSA, etc.

  • Responsible for the state vaccine program.

  • In conjunction with the Medical Director, maintains CLIA certification for point-of-care testing.

  • Attending required staff meetings.

  • Attending required training meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience


Required :


High school diploma or GED equivalent


Three (3) years experience in healthcare


Preferred:


Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience in Business Administration, OR Healthcare Administration, or another related field.


Five (5) years experience in the outpatient clinic, healthcare environment, or other clerical position


Experience with Epic application and health record.


Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.


Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy, and fluency in both languages.
