Nephrology Specialists, P.C. is a respected kidney care practice committed to delivering outstanding nephrology services throughout the greater Richmond area. We are a collaborative team that values dedication, adaptability, and excellence in care and operations.
We are seeking a full-time Administrative & Financial Coordinator to support our growing practice. This hybrid role requires an organized, proactive professional who can manage human resources functions, handle billing and claims in our EMR (Athena), provide IT coordination, oversee benefit administration, and support both administrative and financial operations. The individual must be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and ready to partner closely with Leadership.
Manage HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and benefit administration.
Coordinate day-to-day IT support needs and vendor communication.
Oversee OSHA compliance, maintain required logs and ensure training is up to date.
Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
Work billing and claims within the Athena EMR system.
Support Leadership with administrative projects, scheduling, and cross-functional tasks.
Requirements
Prior experience in medical office administration and finance preferred.
Familiarity with Athena EMR or similar electronic health record/billing platforms preferred.
Working knowledge of HR processes, payroll systems, and benefit coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with troubleshooting basic IT issues.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities across departments.
