Job Description - Practitioner Consultant

Summary
Transitions newly hired physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) into Lehigh Valley Physician Group including interviewing, contracting, onboarding, credentialing, consulting, and benefits. Generates and processes contracts for physicians, division chiefs, medical directors, and APCs, as well as newly merged/acquired groups. Supports practitioner status changes, terminations, compensation budgeting, and other practitioner compensation related processes. Manages and processes Supplemental Long Term Disability program.

Job Duties
  • Works with multiple offices to facilitate the hiring, contracting, and onboarding of physicians and APCs for all LVPG/LVHN entities.

  • Manages and maintains a provider onboarding tracking system.

  • Produces high-quality, precise legal documents at a high volume and consistent with timing expectations.

  • Assists in collecting required information and paperwork from new hires to assist in ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed.

  • Collaborates with compensation analysts to update, monitor, and audit compensation database entries on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.

  • Interacts on a high level with network and outside professionals to secure accurate details on compensation/bonuses, benefits, and start date.

  • Calculates and processes Supplemental Long Term Disability Premium Reimbursements for participating physicians. Collaborates with benefit vendors and accounts payable to ensure timely processing and payment of monthly LTD invoices.

  • Develops strategies to improve the benefits tracking system which includes report development, database structure, quality control, and tracking system operations.

  • Prepares addendums and communicates status changes to the appropriate offices, updating necessary databases/systems.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming physicians to explain the various benefits and support the recruitment process.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or health-related.
  • 5 years of experience in communication and service in a professional environment, working with multiple stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft office products.

Preferred Qualifications
  • With training on the following computer programs: Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Lawson, IDX Web, Onbase, and Intellicred.
  • 3 years of experience in communication and service with a minimum of 750+ FTE (full-time equivalent) physicians, and advanced practice clinicians (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), as well as other high-level professionals within health care (i.e. executive management)

  • 2 years experience navigating online physician and APC licensing and certification websites.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
