Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pre K Teacher Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teacher in organizing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 4-5, in alignment with North Carolina's Pre-K guidelines and early learning standards.
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
- Maintain classroom order and discipline in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Provide guidance and support for children’s emotional and social development, helping them build self-confidence and positive peer relationships.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education practices and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and child care.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of child development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- First aid/CPR certified
