Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 4 based out of Charlottesville, VA.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get To Do:\n\n * Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using soldering or fasteners.\n\n * Read and interpret instructions, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.\n\n * Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.\n\n * Adjust or repair electrical equipment.\n\n * Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic devices used in avionic and military systems.\n\n * Modify electromechanical devices.\n\n * Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.\n\n * Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.\n\n * Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis panels.\n\n * Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.\n\n * Build products such as electric motors, computers, electronic control devices, and sensing equipment.\n\n * Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.\n\n * Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment.\n\n * Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.\n\n * May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.\n\n * Set up and operation of automatic equipment, power tools, and hand tools.\n\n * Maintain neat and organized workspaces.\n\n * Must be detail-oriented, a team player, and results-oriented.\n\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of electronic assembly experience\n\n * Experienced in soldering and Wire/Cable harness assemblies\n\n * Experience with Electronic Enclosure/Control Panel assembly\n\n * Experience with ISO9001 quality standards and ESD-safe procedures\n\n * Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds a few times per shift\n\n * The ability to walk, stand, sit, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach is required.\n\n * Use of both hands for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions is required.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and/or J-STD-001 certifications\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You: \nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
