Job Summary

As a pre-expander Operator, you are responsible for operating the company's pre-expander equipment to provide for adequate expanded resins in the designated and specified densities to meet the facilities production requirements.

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous experience operating pre-expanding equipment in a manufacturing environment

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

· Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

· Strong attention to detail and quality control

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

· Maintain quality compliance of product according to customer requirements.

· Complete hourly quality checks with complete accuracy.

· Communicating with team members and leadership.

· Schedule adherence.

· Packaging product according to customer requirements.

· Maintain safety standards.

· Other tasks assigned.

Schedules 

Pre-Expander Operator opportunities can exist across three shifts. 1st shift hours are 7am-3pm, 2nd shift hours are 3pm-11pm, 3rd shift hours are 11pm to 7am.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers; talk and hear. Frequently required to reach, bend, squat, stretch, and twist. Regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and up to 40 pounds with help. Regularly required to stand and walk during the entire shift. Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform duties.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most manufacturing environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually high with ear protection required. Will work in a dusty and sometimes wet environment as well as cold/hot/humid areas based on the seasons.
