Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

We are seeking a warm, dedicated, and qualified Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early education team. The ideal candidate will create a developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintain a nurturing classroom environment, and work collaboratively with staff and families to support each child’s unique journey.

Close to My Heart is a private, non-profit early childhood center committed to providing an inspiring, encouraging, and enlightening environment for all learners. We nurture the whole child—cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically—through thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate programs and warm, supportive teacher-child relationships. Our play-based approach emphasizes personal attention, purposeful fun, and meaningful growth, supported by a strong curriculum and a dedicated team. With active collaboration among educators, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider community, we strive to meet each child’s individual needs, exceed family expectations, and help every child reach their full potential.

Your Role Will Include:

• Planning and implementing lessons that align with early childhood education standards and the school’s mission.
• Supporting children’s development through small group and individualized play-based activities.
• Fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom that promotes creativity, confidence, and independence.
• Communicating clearly and consistently with families regarding student progress, classroom routines, and developmental milestones.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Collaborating with team members and contributing to a positive school culture through shared events and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (required).
• Licensed Teacher in early childhood or preschool education (required).
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working with young children in a structured setting.
• Passion for child development and a commitment to meeting individual needs through purposeful, engaging activities.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: $25/per hour (Depending on Qualifications).

Location & Shift Times:

• Close to My Heart Preschool, Monday - Friday 7 AM - 5:30 PM.
