GENERAL SUMMARY
Hourly, non-exempt Business Banker dedicated to the local branch market. Responsible for acquiring, servicing, and deepening relationships with small and mid-market business clients within the local community. This role requires an on-site presence to provide consultative financial solutions, including deposits, treasury management, and lending referrals, while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Responsible for servicing and deepening relationships with small and mid-market business clients while identifying opportunities through branch referrals, existing client relationships, and internal bank partnerships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and deepen business relationships through active prospecting, branch generated referrals, existing client relationships, internal bank partnerships, community involvement, and inbound business opportunities.
- Partner with branch staff and internal business partners to identify and refer business clients with deposit, treasury management, and lending needs.
- Manage a portfolio of business clients through branch-based appointments, telephone outreach, virtual meetings, and relationship reviews.
- Provide advice on business deposit accounts, cash management, merchant services, and payroll solutions.
- Identify, develop, and support business lending opportunities, including SBA, term loans, lines of credit, owner-occupied CRE, business acquisition financing, and Smart Loan Program opportunities. Work closely with Business Banking Group throughout the sales and underwriting process. Responsible for originating, packaging, and submitting qualified Smart Loan Program credit requests up to $1 million to underwriting for review and approval.
- Partner with Business Banking Group to expand and deepen relationships within existing commercial and small business portfolios by identifying opportunities for deposits, treasury management, merchant services, business credit cards, and lending solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Banking Group and branch partners to identify referral opportunities, support client needs, and strengthen existing relationships.
- Proactively promote treasury management solutions, including ACH origination, wire services, remote deposit capture, positive pay, business credit cards, merchant services, payroll services, and other cash management solutions that support client operating needs.
- Onboard new business entities, ensuring strict adherence to "Know Your Customer" (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with Retail Banking, Business Banking Group, SBA Lending, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and Mortgage teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions for business owners and their employees.
- Meet or exceed performance goals related to business deposit growth, treasury management revenue, new business acquisition, loan pipeline generation, client retention, and collaboration with Business Banking partners.
- Maintain accurate records in the bank’s CRM and participate in local branch community events to enhance the bank’s brand presence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in retail business banking, business banking, treasury management, retail business banking, or related financial services.
- Demonstrated success in relationship management, client retention, referral generation, and business banking sales.
- Knowledge of business deposit products, treasury management services, merchant services, and cash management solutions.
- Working knowledge of commercial lending products, including SBA loans, commercial lines of credit, term loans, owner-occupied commercial real estate financing, and equipment financing.
- Ability to analyze business financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow information to identify lending opportunities.
- Strong sales and relationship management skills with a proven ability to deepen existing client relationships and convert referral opportunities into business banking relationships.
- Experience identifying and acting upon referral opportunities generated through branch partners, existing client relationships, and internal bank referral sources.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills with the ability to engage business owners and deliver consultative financial solutions.
- Proven ability to collaborate with branch partners and internal business lines to identify referral opportunities and deliver comprehensive business banking solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Retail Banking, Business Banking, Treasury Management, SBA, Wealth Management, and Commercial Banking partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent, Required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly in person.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard banking CRM software.
- Bilingual Proficiency:Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred market demographics

OTHER DETAILS
Pay Range: $33.17 - $35.56/hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
