Pre-Owned Acquisition Specialist/Buyer

Description

Our customer base seeks luxury, value, and world-class service. You will purchase high quality vehicles in a market that’s dynamic and requires strong analytical skills paired with exceptional independent judgment as you make important business decisions that will contribute to the growth of the organization. We provide a comprehensive 2 month training program to educate you on the vehicle selection process, pricing strategies, and offsite auction purchasing skills. Be prepared to travel as needed to support the purchase of vehicles at various events in neighboring states.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrating a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
• Identity popular/profitable cars in market
• Research market dynamics and pricing trends
• Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports and KPI metrics to track success
• Complete internal purchase documents and DMV forms
• Proactively track transportation, reconditioning and other acquisition cost metrics
• Establish appropriate retail sale pricing guidelines based on internal profit metrics and market price dynamics
• Maintain adequate inventory levels and controls across multiple store locations and brands to maximize Pre-Owned vehicle sales potential
• Maintain in depth understanding of market and valuation tools such as V-Auto, and Provision

Qualifications:

• Experience with Simulcast and in-lane auctions
• 3+ years of retail management or purchasing experience
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills cross all levels of leadership
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment to achieve organizational goals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive and rapidly changing environment; handle stress in a calm and constructive manner
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
