Prep Cook for Dock 17

Dock 17 is a bustling eatery located in the heart of Clarksville, TN, known for its fresh, inventive dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity within our culinary team, with the potential to transition into a full-time role. If you're passionate about food, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of culinary delights; tasks include peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients.


• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.


• Ensure food and supply inventories are stocked and properly stored.


• Follow kitchen safety protocols and guidelines.


• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing supplies.


• Work closely with the kitchen team to contribute to menu development and execution.


• Actively participate in training and workshops to hone your skills and techniques.

Requirements:

• No formal education is required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


• Previous kitchen experience is required.


• A genuine interest in culinary arts and a desire to pursue a career in the food service industry.


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.


• A team player with excellent communication skills.


• Fluent in English.


• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Availability to work during peak hours, on weekends, and on holidays required.
