Preparation Plant Utility Worker

To operate the preparation plant to process run of mine (ROM) coal to achieve a clean product, maintain, repair, and keep clean all equipment utilized in the process.

Responsible for lubricating and filling oil reservoirs on all plant and beltline equipment as well as checking oil on all belt line equipment and/or plant equipment as assigned by the foreman.

To clean/wash floors in the preparation plant

To weld both metal and pipe and be able to fabricate chutes and other plant machinery.

Visually observe and repair the plant equipment and machinery to make sure it is functioning properly and safely.

Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience

• 40+ hours per week
• Rotating shifts
• Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday
• Overtime – as required, and/or voluntary

• Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
• Use various hand tools
• Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly.
• Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
• Work Closely with others in a team environment
• Heights - must be able to work in high areas
