What You’ll Do

As a Prepared Cook, you’ll assist with daily food preparation and support the head cooks and dietary team. Responsibilities include:

• Wash, chop, and portion ingredients for daily meals.
• Assist with preparing salads, sides, snacks, and desserts.
• Follow dietary plans, portion sizes, and meal schedules.
• Ensure safe food handling and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Maintain organized storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Support meal service to residents and staff as needed.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Assist with clean-up, dishwashing, and restocking duties.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous food prep or kitchen experience (healthcare or nursing home setting preferred, but not required).
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary restrictions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable and flexible with scheduling (must be able to work every other weekend).
• Positive attitude and a passion for serving others.
