Description

Superior Optical is an eyeglasses manufacturing facility and a federal contractor serving our veterans across the United States with quality eyeglasses and sunglasses. Superior Optical is looking for an optical experienced and organized preproduction administrator to coordinate multiple activities

  •  Preparing frame kits and catalogs for bids.
  • Regularly revamp frames for each VISN and wherever our frames are offered.
  • Meet with frame vendors to make sure frame selections are current in all areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory spreadsheets of frames in each location.
  • Monitor back-order issues.
  • Track sales by color and style, replace slow sellers regularly.
  • Use DVI and POS to ensure frames are priced correctly.
  • Keep up with fashion trends and poplar brands.
  • Track inventory and replace as needed when styles change, are discontinued and return to vendors for credit.
  • Computer usage including Excel, DVI & POS - internal software systems.

The successful candidate must possess lens and frames knowledge, must have a minimum of 

2 years of optical or lab experience.

 

Requirements

  • Great computer skills
  • Proficient in Excel 
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Reaching above or below the shoulder
  • Lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
  • Sit or stand for a prolonged period
  • Walking short and/or long distances within the lab
  • Gross and fine manipulation
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to distinguish colors

  

Shift information:

Monday through Friday 8:00a – 5:00p

(some Saturday shifts may be required)
