The Presales Engineering Manager will provide strong leadership for the Presales Engineering and Presales Application Specialists teams. This role is critical in driving the achievement of key performance indicators, ensuring outstanding customer engagement, and maximizing channel coverage and market penetration. In addition, this individual will be responsible for designing and implementing best practices and procedures for the Presales Engineering team, as well as go-to-market strategies that support our channel sales objectives. In this function you will: Provide technical leadership and product expertise to the Presales Engineers and across Distributed Infrastructure Sales Develop best practices for overall team strategy and execution Drive the strategic direction and continous improvement of key metric & performance Work with customers to resolve issues in technical or sales escalations Hire, train, develop, and evaluate direct reports Develop, analyze & report on key performance indicators of direct reports to the Senior Manager of Channel Sales Engineering Assess channel sales engineering coverage of specific channel customers based off volume and market trends and adjust as necessary Collaborate with key sales management to drive cross-functional engagement Advise the Senior Manager of Channel Sales Engineering on strategic opportunities, emerging competitive threats, and voice of customer Coordinate with the Regional Solutions Engineering Manager to develop best-practices & procedures to maximize inter-departmental efficiency Optimize channel alignment with sales management to maximize multi-department effciency Provide a single point of contact to key sales management to resolve technical problems, sales escalations, or customer satisfaction issues Communicate regularly with direct reports on attainment of key performance indicators, areas of improvement, and career development Communicate and collaborate regularly with sales leaders on constructive feedback, gap analysis, and methods to further support & grow their business Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years in a channel sales or presales role Relocation is not available. Candidates must currently reside within a 50 mile radius of Arden, NC to be considered. 1 year of professional leadership experience Understand basic electrical/power theory and electrical standards (UL, NEMA, IEC, etc.) Position Criteria: Ability to successfully manage time & priorities Establish relationships internally in a matrixed structure Adapt to market trends by driving organizational & process improvements
