Role Overview

The Mainframe Modernization Pre-Sales Solution Architect provides technical sales support for the Astadia Mainframe application refactoring solutions. Helping customers migrate mainframe workloads to the cloud. The Solution Architect should be proficient in understanding and explaining to prospects, customers and business partners the Astadia modernization solutions and how they apply to the needs of the prospect.A qualified Solution Architect should have comprehensive architecture knowledge of Mainframe application and database technologies and products. They should also have strong architectural knowledge of modern application Java and .Net architectures deployed on the Cloud.The role is a customer facing role and a Solution Architect must have good verbal and written communication skills. They should be able to prepare and present compelling presentation materials and be comfortable with public speaking.

What will your job look like?

• Perform presales proposals activities for the division or specific accounts
• Identify and allocate proposal resources within an account, product unit, or region. Set priorities accordingly. Also identify the proposal results and define items that require special approval or unique knowledge
• Work with product teams to ensure that product messaging and response collateral aligns with marketing intention
• You will bring to bear standard methodologies to craft, develop, and deliver outstanding sales materials, ensuring quality and consistency within or across accounts/ regions
• Collaborate and maintain a broad view across accounts/regions to provide a single voice, ensuring that all messages are synchronized
• Supporting sales professionals in prospect-facing meetings. Either in-person or remotely.
• Presenting in-depth presentations to explain the technical details of the Astadia Mainframe Modernization solutions
• Become proficient in conducting demonstrations of Astadia refactoring and automated testing tools
• Work with prospects to understand the technical architecture of their current state Mainframe applications
• Be able to discuss future application cloud state with prospects
• Assist in scoping modernization engagements
• Represent Astadia at industry events, including public speaking events
• Some travel required

All you need is...

• At least 3 years’ experience working for modernization company, System Integrator or Hyperscaler
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Solution-architect or consultant
• Can demonstrate knowledge of Mainframe application and data technology
• Competent in developing technical sales materials
• Prospect/Customer facing professionalism
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Consultative, analytical and problem solving approach
• Problem solver
• Team player
