We are currently looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support two of our Preschools. The Harry H. Gordon School is located at 2465 Bathgate Ave Bronx, NY 10458. The Bronx Children's Program is located at 1170 Stillwell Ave Bronx, NY 10469.

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at ADAPT Community Network’s Preschool Program is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based interventions for students with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The BCBA collaborates closely with teaching staff, related service providers, and families to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key duties and responsibilities of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) include but are not limited to:

• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develops Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs.
• Analyzes psychological, educational, and adaptive behavior assessments to inform behavioral programming.
• Designs and oversees implementation of behavior support strategies and skill acquisition programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Collaborates with teachers and classroom staff to model and support evidence-based behavior management techniques.
• Attends and participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, case conferences, and other team meetings to review progress and make necessary plan modifications.
• Provides in-situ coaching, modeling, and training for instructional staff to ensure fidelity of behavior support plans.
• Collects and analyzes data to monitor student progress and modifies programming as needed.
• Communicates effectively with parents/guardians regarding behavioral progress and strategies for home consistency.
• Provides staff development and training on behavior management, data collection, and implementation of ABA strategies.
• Supports classroom needs, including transitions, feeding, toileting, and crisis management, as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation in compliance with ADAPT policies, DOE regulations, and best practices in the field.
• Stays current with best practices and emerging research in behavior analysis and early childhood development.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing behavior support plans, preferably with preschool-aged children with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
• In-depth knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary team settings and school-based environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to coach, train, and support educators and paraprofessionals.

COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $93,000 annually + Industry-Leading Benefits for all full-time employees.
