What You'll Do
Operate the school in accordance with Primrose School of Aliana's vision, mission, policies and procedures, and state licensing standards.  Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff.  Promote Primrose School of Aliana in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability.

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the childcare facility, including scheduling, staffing to ratio, and program implementation.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as budget management, record-keeping, and reporting to regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws for staff as needed.

Family & Community Relations

  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders regarding childcare programs, policies, and children’s progress.

  • Collaborate with other supervisors, administrators, and educational specialists to enhance childcare programs and services.

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.

Staff Leadership & Supervision

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate childcare staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Resolve conflicts and addressing disciplinary issues among children and staff in a fair and constructive manner.

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children and staff, including hearing and seeing children to provide adequate supervision.

Environment & Safety

  • Maintain a clean and organized school environment.

  • Respond quickly to emergencies or safety issues.

  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including sanitation and hygiene practices.

Program Support & Flexibility

  • Able to work in kitchen to ensure consistent meal and snack preparation and compliance with health codes.

  • Able to drive bus in compliance with traffic laws and expectations for bus drivers by childcare licensing and Primrose Schools.

  • Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather in all seasons as needed for supervisory duties.

Child-Focused Physical Care

  • Assist children with activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and toileting.

  • Engage in physical activities with children, including playing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or 

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.

  • Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.

  • Meet required qualifications for director in Texas and possess and maintain a valid Director’s Credential. 

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum, and assessment.

  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
