Role: Experienced Food Service - Preschool Chef at Primrose School of Stafford at Embrey Mill - 805 Wonder Rd Stafford, VA 22554 Brand new preschool projected to open late fall 2025.

Are you eager to make a difference in the health and nutrition of young children? As the Preschool Chef at Primrose School of Stafford at Embrey Mill, you’ll prepare delicious, balanced meals that fuel children’s growth, spark curiosity, and support their lifelong love of learning.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Encourage healthy habits by preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals

  • Safeguard children by strictly following allergy and dietary guidelines

  • Bring consistency by executing menus in collaboration with the Director

  • Co-manage kitchen operations including ordering, budgeting, and inventory

  • Support school culture by preparing meals for special events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current Serve Safe Certificate

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in food preparation and kitchen management (preschool or similar environment preferred)

  • Knowledge of Virginia licensing regulations

  • Proven track record of managing food service operations while ensuring full adherence to Virginia Health Department regulations

  • Strong inventory management and budgeting skills

  • Understanding of child safety and choking hazard prevention

  • Experience supervising or leading kitchen teams

Position Details

  • Schedule: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (with potential full-time responsibilities depending on qualifications and ability to support classrooms)

  • Salary Range: Competitive
