Role:  Preschool Chef at Primrose School of Andover

No nights and weekends!

Are you eager to make a difference in the health and nutrition of young children? As the School Chef Primrose School of Andover, you’ll prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they explore, play and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Core Responsibilities:

  •  Nurture a child's first five years by preparing nutritious and delicious snacks and lunch daily

  • Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions at all times

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen

  • Prepare and follow weekly menus prepared in collaboration with the Director

  • Deliver snacks and meals to 14 classrooms - be prepared to be greeted enthusiastically by the students!

  • Assist with ordering food, including calculating amounts needed and inventory

Qualifications

  • Meets all state and town requirements for school food service professional

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with particular attention to allergies

  • Organized, with ability to plan ahead

  • Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management 

  • Strong skills in inventory management and control 

  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety


Salary Range: Starting at $21 per hour, based on experience

Shift Schedule:  Monday - Friday 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM, occasional evening staff meeting (subject to change)
