Just 4 Kids Preschool is seeking a qualified Center Cook! 

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:

The desire to make a difference in the lives of others and in the lives of our children enrolled with us.

A professional and positive attitude. You MUST love to give hugs, wipe boogers, hold a crying toddler, get a dental inspection by a two-year-old, have pretend conversation “on the phone” into a block, and most of all eat pretend food like a champ!

Must be able to perform a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning toilets and sinks, sanitation tasks and other duties deemed necessary to the job.

Must be able to ensure a clean and orderly environment inside and outside Just 4 Kids Preschool premises.

Sanitize and sterilize kitchen tools and equipment.

Must be able to cook and serve meals and snacks to all students on site.

Must be able to move small furnitures when necessary.

Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.

Daily or Weekly laundering of bed sheets, towels, etc.

Must be able to notify the Operations Manager when in need of gas or repair.

Must be able to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures in picking up and dropping off students to and from school.

Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

Must be able to multi-task and have time management skills.

Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40lb child in an emergency situation.

Job Qualifications:

Must have a food handler’ card / certification.

Must have a valid drivers license, and ability to use our small school bus to transport children to and from school.

Must have a working knowledge of Title 22 Food Regulations (Expiration Dates, Unused Food Storage, etc.)

Must be able to speak English clearly and be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Must be able to pass FBI Fingerprint, DOJ and Child Abuse index background check.
