Preschool Lead Teacher

Preschool Lead Teacher needed at our Kresgeville location. This is a full-time, 12 month position. If you have joy to share, contact us! All of our jobs are Monday through Friday between 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.. No nights or weekends!

We are looking for a caring and hard-working individual who can manage a classroom of 18 three- and four-year-olds with the help of an assistant teacher. Responsibilities include supervising the group with safety in mind and kindness first; cultivating social and emotional development; facilitating developmentally appropriate activities; caring for the whole child, including diapering-and assisting with toileting as needed; and supporting our commitment to meeting the individual needs of each child and their family.

This position is also responsible for parent communication regarding the children in the class, child assessments, and parent-teacher conferences. The Growing Place uses the Creative Curriculum.

The Preschool Plus classrooms are part of our Working Parent Program and are open from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The children's attendance schedules are based on their parent's work schedules.

Bachelors in ECE or related field, classroom management and preschool experience needed. Associates in ECE will be considered.

The Growing Place Child Care Centers are NAEYC-accredited and Keystone STAR Four rated, which is the highest quality in PA. Teamwork is very important in our organization, where we serve approximately 350 children, aged eight weeks to 12 years, in our three Monroe County centers.

Hourly rate is based on years of experience with children and education level in Early Childhood Education or a related field. In addition to teaching and center-based care, experience with children must be documented and can include tutoring, nannying, volunteering, and/or coaching. Caring for your own children does not count per PA Child Care Regulations.
