Preschool Maintenance

Preschool Maintenance- Full Time

Kensington School is accepting applications for a preschool maintenance position. The right candidate will have experience working for a school or similar facility.

Maintenance duties include, but are not limited to:

• monthly carpet cleaning


• changing lightbulbs


• fixing / assembly of toys & furniture


• painting


• monthly deep cleans of flooring (classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen)


• move furniture as needed


• light yard work, trash pick up


• perform basic plumbing experience
  
  
  
  • clearing clogs, making adjustments to sinks and toilets
  
  
  
  


• conduct minor electrical repairs
  
  
  
  
  • changing lightbulbs, outlets
  
  
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Maintenance / Custodian experience required.


• Experience in a school environment preferred.


• Must be able to lift 40lbs or more.
  


• Must be able to work outside in a different climates.


• Willingness to learn hands on skills


• Can complete tasks in a timely manner


• able to communicate effectively while also working independently


• strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

Must be able to work evenings & weekends. Flexible schedule depending on work at hand.

This is a year-round position with opportunities for job growth and on-site training with special projects.  Yearly annual incentives.

Qualifications:
- Must pass a state background check

- Complete a medical form/physical report

- References are required

Compensation starts at a $20 to $22 hourly rate. This position is primarily nights and weekends. 

Upon hire, a probationary period working in school maintenance is required to establish knowledge of the school’s needs.
