ABOUT KSS IMMERSION SCHOOLS

Kids Speaking Spanish (KSS) offers a full-time Spanish immersion preschool program in the San Francisco Bay Area for children aged two to six. KSS is a warm and nurturing environment where children flourish under the caring instruction of highly experienced teachers from Spanish-speaking countries across the globe. We have convenient preschool locations in Berkeley, Oakland (Montclair and Lincoln Highlands), and Walnut Creek.

YOUR ROLE

As the KSS Regional Director you will provide ongoing monitoring and support to multiple school sites. You will directly supervise all site directors who report to your assigned sites. You will ensure that our program is adhering to KSS standards, Community Care Licensing regulations, and other related laws and ordinances. You will train, coach, oversee, and support the professional development of staff and be responsible for the oversight of curriculum implementation and teacher training. You will make sure that facilities and school environments are safe and well kept. You will promote an atmosphere that cultivates leadership, communication, accountability and quality customer service. This position will serve as a leader and role model that supports the policies and mission of KSS.

• You are experienced with staff recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling.
• You understand and are able to implement employee reviews and positive methods for evaluating staff performance.

You understand compliance issues and budgeting

• You are able to assist the Executive Director with budget development for assigned school sites.
• You have experience monitoring revenue & expenses to ensure they operate within budget.
• You are familiar with compliance with state childcare licensing laws and practices.
• You are able to maintain proper department files including required paperwork for staff.

You enjoy working with Parents

• You actively develop and maintain relationships with families, parent groups and the community at large.
• You respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
• You assist in the marketing of programs, enrollment and distribution of program information.

Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION INCLUDE

• At least 3 years of administrative experience.
• Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish
• Knowledge and experience in Education or Child Development
• Fully licensed early childhood teacher
• BA in Early Childhood Education Preferred
